Janet Hammond is ready to represent Southern California community at the fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines to be held in a few months where the representative of Philippines to Miss Universe 2024 will be crowned. Her sashing ceremony was held by Aces & Queens at Olympus Creatives Studios in San Juan City.

Born and raised in San Pedro, Laguna, Janet immigrated to the US and got married at the young age of 21. Through her participation, Janet wishes to be the first mother to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown and represent her country at Miss Universe.

Janet Hammond initially rose to fame by winning the title of Miss Philippines USA 2018. Janet also came into the spotlight being the younger sister of Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2016 Jennifer Hammond. However, she is now ready to make her own name in the pageantry with her national participation.

An entrepreneur who serves in the healthcare industry, Janet co-owns a hospice agency based in LA. She has also worked with Health Futures Foundation and Likhaan Org to advocate for her humanitarian causes. She is also the founder of a Medical Transportation company.

Miss Universe Philippines 2024, the fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines, will be held later this year where Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee of Makati will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
