The 34 beauties competing for Binibining Pilipinas 2015 walked the runway in their swimwear during the pageant’s press presentation held today in Sofitel Plaza, Pasay City. While the candidates have already been announced in the past, this is the first time the contestants faced the press in an official function, which marks the beginning of the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 competition, the 52nd edition of the most prestigious pageant in Philippines.
The candidates were introduced as they sashayed the ramp in red swimsuits before an audience which included celebrities, previous titleholders and beauty pageant aficionados. The lovely bunch of this year's contestants include seasoned beauty pageant hopefuls, with some competing for Binibining Pilipinas for the third time such as Pia Alonso Wurtzbach, Toni Alyessa Hipolito, Patricia Lae Ejercitado and Hanna Ruth Sison. Winwyn Marquez, the daughter of celebrity couple Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez, is also a candidate for Binibining Pilipinas 2015.
The swimsuit presentation will be followed by the parade of beauties and the official pageant fashion show that will be taking place in the following weeks. The pageant will conclude with the Grand Coronation Night scheduled to be held on March 15' 2015 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, when the reigning queen Mary Jean Lastimosa will crown her successor Miss Universe Philippines 2015, and other winners to compete at other international pageants (Miss International, Miss Supranational, and Miss Tourism Queen International) will be announced.
The finals will be telecast live on ABS-CBN.
