The Miss Dominican Republic organization hosted the 2021 edition of the national pageant on 7th November 2021 at the Sambil Events Room, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed against each other for the coveted crown and an opportunity to represent Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2021. At the end of the event, Andrei´na Martinez was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Dominican Republic 2020 Kimberly Marie Jiménez Rodríguez for the title.
Miss Dominican Republic 2021 Andrei´na Martinez’s court includes –
First runner-up – Debbie Jochabed Áflalo Vargas of Azua
Second runner-up – Yamilex Hernández del Orbe of La Vega
Third runner-up – Elianny Capellán of Samana
Fourth runner-up - Érika del Carmen Silverio Capellán of La Romana

Hailing from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and New York, United States, Andreina Martinez is a 24 years-old Dominican-American psychologist, model and beauty queen. Currently working as a coordinator of the Women’s Equality center foundation, Andriena Martinez is fluent in English and Spanish.
Since she was a child she dreamed of being a representative of the Miss Dominican Republic. She thinks that the effort and dedication that must be taken when being the representative of the country is a great example, she wants to publicize and highlight the Dominican culture, values and customs. She aims to work to promote Dominican women and girls, instilling motivational values to get ahead; and showing with her work that there are no limits for any woman.
Miss Dominican Republic 2020 Kimberly Marie Jiménez Rodríguez represented Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant, earlier this year, where she won a special award and was placed among the Top 4. Now, Andreina will represent the country at Miss Universe 2021, o be held in December 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
