The splendour coronation night of Miss Earth 2017 ended with the announcement of Karen Ibasco as the winner. All the contestants were shining at the finale night especially in the infamous question and answer round.
The queens are adjudged on the basis of Question and Answer round, to know what they feel and think about Miss Earth’s propaganda of “Climate Change and environment.” The common question for this year was ‘What is the Biggest Enemy/ Enemies Of Mother Earth’.
So, without much ado let’s see the impressive answers of the Top 4 queens.
Karen Ibasco Miss Earth 2017
“I believe that the real problem in this world is not climate change, the real problem is us because of our ignorance and apathy, what we have to do is to start changing our ways, to start recalibrating our minds, and to start redirecting our steps because together at a global community, our micro efforts will have a macro effects to help save our home, our planet.”
Juliana Franco Miss Earth Colombia 2017
“I truly believe that today the bigger enemy that our earth has is the consumption. We all have to rethink about the consumption because so many industries are really polluting our mother earth. So, we have to think about what we buy, what we eat, so that we can help to protect the mother earth.
Nina Robertson Miss Earth Australia 2017
“I think the biggest enemies of mother earth are the people that do not believe that climate change is real. Because for them, they do not see the long-term effect that this climate change and global warming will have. So, for me, I would like to keep educating more people and raising more awareness because sometimes they are just not aware of that. So, as an eco-warrior, all the girls here on stage, this is what we are here to do. Thank you!”
Lada Akimova Miss Earth Russia 2017
“Thank you for your question and good evening everyone! Our mother earth has a lot of enemies indeed, although I must say she also has a lot of friends. But I think the most serious enemies of mother earth are us. So, we must rethink our consection and must unite our planet. Only together can we do this.”

No prizes for guessing who gave the best answer. Of course, it’s the reigning Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco from Philippines. Her answer seemed very genuine and honest. It felt like what she said is what she believes in. But we have to give it to the other queens for their lovely answers filled with empathy and love for Mother Earth.
