Miss Grand Venezuela organization held the finale of the 2022 edition on Saturday, 13th August 2022 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). At the end of the event finale, Sabrina Deraneck was crowned Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 as she became the official representative of Venezuela at Miss Grand International 2022.
Sabrina Deraneck is 23 years of age and a teacher by profession. She hails from the state of Mérida. Not new to the pageant world, Sabrina holds the titles of Reina del Sol 2021 and Miss Merida 2021. Along with that, Sabrina also participated in El Concurso by Osmel Sousa 2022 where she managed to come out as the first runner-up.
On being crowned Miss Grand Venezuela 2022, Sabrina took to her official social media as she wrote, “Challenge, commitment, growth, joys, sadness, tears, obstacles, good energies and others not so much. At the beginning of the road not everything is perfect, but we will improve the pieces. Not everyone knows what lies behind a queen, that is why today I decide to only have in my training path people who make me shine big, with hope, faith and positive things. Yes, I can.”
Sabrina has, however, faced a little criticism for not being a ‘usual’ beauty queen face. Nevertheless, she has proven that she can take everything like a champ. She quoted, “They point their fingers at me. They say I'm not the "usual miss". All I have done is to be able to adapt to new environments, to be able to grow regardless of adversity. To be honest with myself. Of course, it would be easy to wear one mask and mix with the "common". But the truth is that my greatest performance would be to go on stage being true to myself.”
The short haired beauty has the most mesmerizing smile which can captured everyone’s attention in the country. Sabrina also holds a little resemblance to Valentina Figuera, the first Venezuelan woman to win Miss Grand International in 2019. Sabrina is currently preparing her international stint, taking professional classes for improving diction, her walk and just preparing herself overall for the competition.
