Chelsea Hardin crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2016

Chelsea Hardin was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2016 by the outgoing titleholder Emma Wo of Honolulu on November 22, 2015. She will be representing Hawaii at 2016 Miss USA Pageant where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. Julianne Chu was adjudged as the first runner-up, Cierra Rauch was titled as the second runner-up, while Kauilani Carr was named as the third runner-up, followed up by Meg Akim as the fourth runner-up in the pageant. Completing the semi-finalists spots were Keala Patterson, Stephanie Wang and Courtney Coleman.

The 24 years old beauty, Chelsea, hails from of East Oahu and is working as a Curriculum Development Training at Hawaii Speed and Quickness. She traveled to over 11 different countries on 4 different continents, in order to channelize her passion and dedication to the cause. Truly, an epitome of humbleness and beauty within, Chelsea’s grace was unfathomable as she glimmered in a black gown during the evening gown segment. The smile she embodied throughout the coronation night was worth to die for!

Chelsea Hardin crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2016

 

Hawaii is the most recent state to start competing at the Miss USA Pageant, as it first competed in 1962. There have been four Miss USA winners from Hawaii, Brook Mahealani Lee, Miss USA and Miss Universe 1997, Judi Andersen, Miss USA 1978, Tanya Wilson, Miss USA 1972 and Macel Wilson, Miss USA 1962. Despite the late start, it has been one of the most victorious states to compete at Miss USA and is one of three states with four titles, only second to Texas and California.
