Carina Neto was crowned Miss International Portugal 2018 at the finale of the Miss Portuguesa 2018 (Miss Portugal 2018) held on 28th July 2018.
The 21-year-old Carina succeeds Miss International Portuguesa 2017 Ana Marques and will now represent Portugal at Miss International 2018 to be held on 9th November 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. Carina hails from Canada and stands tall at 175 cm. Her measurements are 80-65-85 (In cms).
Carina expressed her feelings through her social media accounts, saying “Day 18: It was the day I won the title of Miss International Portugal. After three intense weeks of hard work and dedication, Gondomar brings me the best gift ever. Congratulations to Carla Rodrigues for the title of Miss Portuguesa 2018, Ana Rita Aguiar for the place of First Lady of Honor and Vania Correia for the position of Second Lady.”
Carina went on to say, “After the Gala, it was in the White House of Gramido that the ceremony was held to crown the representatives of Portugal to the international competitions of the Grand Slam. And it was here that with great emotion I was crowned Miss International Portugal, by the President of the Miss Portuguese Organization, Isidro de Brito. I was so happy to see my effort recognized. I was proud of the Portuguese Community in Canada. I hope you feel as proud as I do. This title brings me to Japan at the end of this year, where I will take the name of Portugal with the honor that our culture deserves.”

The newly crowned queen went on to thank everyone who was a part of her journey to the crown. She wrote, “A new chapter begins now and with it many learning. Thank you Miss Portuguese Organization and Direction Miss Portuguesa Canada for this wonderful opportunity and for believing in me. I would like to end with a special thank you to my beautiful family who crosses borders to support me and who teach me the best values in life. To my friends for being so present. Portugal has won the title of Miss International just once, when Miss International Portugal 1996 Fernanda Alves participated. Could Miss International Portugal 2018 Carina Neto bring back the Miss International 2018 crown after a 21 year drought?
