The 64th edition of Miss Korea i.e., Miss Korea 2020 was hosted on 23rd October 2020 where Kim Hye Jin was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale. She succeeds Miss Korea 2019 Kim Sae-yeon for the title and is very excited to take over the crown duties as Miss Korea 2020.

Kim Hye Jin is 22-years-old and is attending the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment at Dongduk Women’s University. She aspires to be an actor just like Kim Seong-ryeong and Lee Ha-Nui in future. After winning the crown, she stated, “I will become a Miss Korea who works hard in anything and promoting Korean culture.” Kim actively participated in camp training throughout the competition and left a strong impression on the judges and the public by demonstrating her own personality and capabilities in various missions.

Miss Korea 2020 Kim Hye Jin’s court includes:

First Runner-Up: Lee Hwa-in and Ryu Seo-bin

Second Runner-up: Jeon Yeon Ju and Jeon Hyeji

The ‘2020 Miss Korea Contest’ focused on discovering genuine ‘next-generation female leaders’ by breaking away from the stereotype of beauty supremacy. The winner of Miss Korea does not participate in any international pageant. She will have to fulfil her duties as Miss Korea. But the first runners up are set to compete in Miss International and Miss Earth pageants.

The organizers tried to reduce the controversy over gender sensitivity that had arisen this year by introducing a self-introduction time that does not disclose age, body size, and region, and makeup and gender-free missions without exposure to the body.

Congratulations!
