The 67th edition of Miss Korea was held on 10th October 2023 at COEX Auditorium in Gangnam-gu, Seoul where Jin Chae-Won was crowned Miss Korea 2023. The pageant was held for the first time since covid-19 outbreak all around the world.
Choi Chae-Won is a graphic design major at Boston University. Choi, describes herself as a ‘global female leader' and, in the future, wants to become an art director and artist for OTT platforms.
After winning Miss Korea 2023, Choi quoted, “I am so surprised. I am thankful that they viewed my positive energy and my hard work as positives. I want to become a leader who can show Korean women’s leadership both at home and abroad.”
Also at the finale, Kim Ji Sung was adjudged first runner-up while Jung Gyu Ri was adjudged as the second runner-up. Jung Da Yeon and Mi Jo Soo Bin placed fourth and fifth respectively.
The 2023 edition of Miss Korea set the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its core theme and aimed to discover female leaders who will lead the future generation.
