Miss Maine USA 2021, under Clemente organization, was held on 20th June 2021 at the Sheraton Sable Oaks in South Portland, Maine where Veronica Iris Bates was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Maine at Miss USA 2021. Miss Maine USA 2020 Julia Van Steenberghe crowned her successor at the end of the event finale.
Veronica Iris gave a stellar performance at the state finale even though, just three days ago, she was in the hospital for an emergency surgery getting her appendix removed. Bates bested 22 other beauties to win the Miss Maine USA crown.
The newly crowned Miss Maine USA 2021 Veronica Iris Bates’ court included –
1st Runner-up – Sarah Phelps
2nd Runner-up – Amanda Jean Hogg
3rd Runner-up – Bethany Henneberry
4th Runner-up – Natalie Swift
The Top 11 included Bethany Henneberry, Kaitlynn Morse, Natalie Swift, Amanda Jean Hogg, Sarah Phelps, Elizabeth Robbins, Elizabeth Kervin, Ainsley Mullins, Veronica Iris Bates, Georgeanne Oliver and Roisin Strickland.
Also at the finale, Kyah Brown was crowned Miss Maine Teen USA 2021 as she became the official representative of Maine at Miss Teen USA 2021. Madison Higgins, Angel Griffin, Isabelle Baumann and Teghan Halsey were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
