The reigning Miss Universe Paraguay and Miss Universe 2021 runner-up Nadia Ferreira was recently distinguished as Hero of the Year 2021 for her outstanding participation in the most important beauty pageant in the world and for being a wonderful representative of the country and uplifting their culture.

The queen took to her social media to express her gratitude as she wrote, “What an honor to receive the ‘Hero of the Year’ award! As a National Ambassador but above all a lover of my beloved Paraguay, the country that saw me grow up and that accompanies me day by day in my achievements, I want to ask you that during these difficult times we remember what valuable that is love, empathy and Peace.”

She also went on to thank her mother, addressing her as one of the fundamental pillars of her life and each person who had shown her affection and support. Nadia Ferreira, the beautiful 22-year-old from Villarrica, represented Paraguay in December 2021 in Israel, at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, placing herself as the first runner-up in the contest.

The night of the Heroes Awards, in its 2022 edition, took place on 1st March 2022, under the auspices of Nación Media and awarded those who bet on their day-to-day values, talents and intelligence for a better country.

Apart from this, Nadia was also recently recognized with the Premios+ awards for the invaluable contribution in the world of Entertainment. “Having represented my Paraguay and all of Latin America is something I always dreamed of and fulfilled. The fact that today I am being awarded for the work I have been doing motivates me to continue working for each of my goals and ideals and thus be able to continue inspiring other people,” she shared.

Even though she could not manage to win the crown, her charisma, friendliness, attractiveness, and sensuality conquered the universe, and her involvement had a huge impact, both nationally and globally, elevating the name of Paraguay.
