The Preliminary Competition of 71st Miss Universe was held tonight, i.e. Wednesday, 11th January 2022 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in Louisiana, USA. The contestants paraded in their opening dresses, evening gowns, and swimsuits in front of the judges before the finale night beckons.

The delegates arrived looking absolutely stunning in their swimsuits wearing the personalized capes which was introduced in this edition. With messages from their countries from all over the world, the contestants walked the stage showing off their walks as the judges decided who would make the final cut for the finals.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
