Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd Miss Universe, is all set to be held in 2023 in El Salvador. Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The countries are currently in the process of crowning/appointing their representatives to Miss Universe 2023.
Currently, nine countries have announced their return to this year’s edition. Initially, Guyana announced its return who last competed in 2017, followed by New Zealand who last competed in 2019.

The information about the returns is according to the 2023 contracts signed so far and there will be more during the year. Ireland is returning after a 1-year hiatus, Egypt is returning for the first time since 2019, Hungary is returning for the first time since 2021 after 2 years while Bangladesh is returning after 4 years.
Mongolia is returning after 4 years while Zimbabwe is returning after 22 years as the last time they participated was in 2001. Also, Latvia is returning after 17 years as the last time they participated was in 2006.
