The beauty queen recently grabbed the attention of the netizens when in one of her instagram posts she wrote, "I was recently asked, 'What happened to you? Why have you gained weight? You are losing points’. While I am first to say I am not as lean as I was when I was 16, 20, or even last year, but I am more confident, capable, wise, humble and passionate than ever before. As soon as I started to love who I was rather than always trying to fit (into) what I thought society wanted me to be, I gained a whole new side of life." She concluded her caption by adding, “We always focus on the things we wish we could change rather than loving everything we are."
It is amazing to see that Siera didn’t let the bashing affect her performance, in fact the beauty is going strong and has been keeping her cool by staying positive. Her counter comment on body shaming has definitely won our hearts, and we are sure she has gained some points as well with that attitude.
Siera Bearchell is a law student at the University of Saskatchewan and aspires to use her law degree for business endeavours and to help the vulnerable communities. Siera is the co-owner and co-founder of Watered Down Apparel. For the ones who don’t know, Siera was the first runner-up at Miss Supranational 2015 pageant. She has worked with charities and organisations like the Canadian Red Cross, Free the Children and SOS Children’s Villages.
