Dia Mate has been appointed as Miss Universe Philippines - Cavite 2024 at the official sashing ceremony held on Monday, 5th February 2024. Mate will now prepare to represent Cavite at Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

A 22-year Filipino singer and songwriter, Dia hails from Kawit, Cavite. In 2021, Dia began to pursue a bachelor’s degree in communications technology from Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City and will graduate in 2025.

Dia has multiple records to her belt being an artist with Islands Records. Her singles include ‘Heart Hates Me’, ‘Fantasy’, ‘Kalimutan’ to name a few. She is an excellent artist with a beautiful voice who will rock the talent competition of the national pageant.

Miss Universe Philippines 2024, the fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines, will be held later this year where Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee of Makati will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
