At the grand coronation night of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 held just hours ago at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Madison Sara Anderson representing Toa Baja was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Puerto Rico in Miss Universe 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018 Kiara Liz Ortega.
The newly crowned queen was definitely a crowd’s favourite as she performed with excellence and grace at the national competition. The 23-year-old beauty is not new to the pageantry as she also participated in Miss Grand International 2016 and with her outstanding performance there as well, she placed as the third runner-up. Madison was also a part of our favourites and she proved her worth with her sincerity and dedication. Madison’s court included -
First Runner-Up - Estefania Soto representing San Sebestian
Second Runner-Up - Fabiola Valentin representing Camuy
The competition began with an opening number performance by the candidates who looked absolutely radiant in their outfits. From the twenty nine beauties, top 16 semi-finalists were then announced keeping in mind their performances at the preliminary competition as well - Miss Bayamon, Miss Penuelas, Miss Dorado, Miss Villalba, Miss Toa Alta, Miss San Sebastian, Miss Cayey, Miss Loiza, Miss Toa Baja, Miss Camuy, Miss Morovis, Miss Carolina, Miss Salinas, Miss Lares, Miss Arecibo and Miss Aguada.
The sixteen gorgeous semi-finalists then walked the ramp in their swimsuits and definitely entranced the audience with their confidence. The sixteen were then cut down to ten finalists which comprised of Miss Villalba,
Miss San Sebastian, Miss Dorado, Miss Cayey, Miss Morovis, Miss Toa Alta, Miss Carolina, Miss Loiza, Miss Camuy and Miss Toa Baja.
As the competition neared its end, Top 5 contestants were announced who went through the rigorous questions and answer round - Miss San Sebestian, Miss Camuy, Miss Toa Baja, Miss Carolina and Miss Dorado.
