Trinidad and Tobago’s national costume has also been revealed for Miss Universe 2023 which will be showcased by Faith Gillezeau on the international stage. The National Costume competition will see Faith donning the traditional costume showcasing the culture of her beautiful country.
Trinidad & Tobago’s Faith Gillezeau is all set to don ‘Scarlet’, named after the national bird Scarlet Ibis. She will be the first ever moko jumbie/ stilt walker to cross the Miss Universe stage. Faith, through the costume, will represent the culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
Faith also showcased the costume on her official social media as she wrote, “I am beyond honored to do this for my country. This costume has been the product of an absolutely incredible team dedicated to putting on a show worthy of our culture and to them today, for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, my words fail me but I’d like to start with Thank you.”
The National Costume competition of Miss Universe 2023 will be held on Thursday, 16th November 2023 at 8 PM while the finale will be held on Saturday, 18th November 2023 at 7 PM where Miss Universe 2022 Rbonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
