Former Miss World, María Julia Mantilla García is enjoying the pleasure of motherhood. Miss World 2004, María García gave birth to a baby girl named Luna María on Tuesday night. The news was reported by the Miss World Organization on their official social networking page. The entire Miss World team congratulated the beauty queen and posted: “Huge congratulations to Miss World 2004 María Julia Mantilla García, who gave birth to a beautiful little girl named Luna María on Tuesday night!

Maria gave birth to her daughter on February 23’ 2016 and named her Luna María. This is Maria’s second baby. She became the second woman from Peru to be crowned as Miss World. She is not just a former Miss World, Maria is also a renowned Peruvian actress, dancer, model and teacher. Maria had the record of exceptionally superb performance at the Miss World. She was the semifinalists in three fast track events. In the Sports round, she tied for third place with Kenisha Thom of Trinidad & Tobago. At the Talent round, she was among the Top 25 semifinalists with a traditional Peruvian dance, The Marinera Norteña. And finally, in Contestants’ Choice, she placed second runner-up.

During her reign, Mantilla performed a variety of duties including raising funds for charitable organisations. She travelled to Indonesia, Russia, Peru, United States, Czech Republic, China, Tibet, Ireland, United Kingdom and many other countries during her reign.
