The grand coronation night of Miss World 2021 was supposed to be held on 16th December 2021 but it was official postponed due to several contestants and organization staff after having tested positive from COVID-19.
The new coronation date was then announced as 16th March 2022. In a new update on the 70th edition, it has been announced that only Top 40 delegates will be travelling to Puerto Rico to participate in the finals night. Out of these Top 40, top 15 have already been selected who are the winners of the fast-track competitions.

The remaining top 25 delegates will be selected by the jury panel and will be announced on 21st January 2022. The finals will be held at Puerto Rico's José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum where Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
