Natasha-Joan Mapulanga to pioneer Zambia’s win at Miss World 2023?

Natasha-Joan Mapulanga was crowned Miss Zambia 2021/22 at the finals held on 11 June 2022 at the Best Western Plus Hotel. Since then, she has been preparing to represent her country at Miss World 2023. If Natasha manages to win the crown, she will pioneer Zambia’s win at Miss World.

Hailing from Lusaka, Natasha is an international relations and development analyst. Natasha earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and development. An advocate for menstrual health, Natasha has held multiple activities to talk about eradicating period poverty.

 

 

Natasha has also helped the United Bank for Africa donate 160 African Literature books in the local schools. She has donated menstrual cups, sanitary towels, shaving stick to multiple schools in her country to promote menstrual health in school students.

With a vast pageantry experience, Natasha has established herself to be a strong competition. She previously held the titles of Miss Teen Zambia 2013, Miss Freedom Zambia 2014 first runner-up. She tried her hand at Miss Zambia previously in 2014 where she won the second runner-up position.

 

 

In 2016, Natasha competed at Miss Heritage Zambia 2016 and with her stellar performance, she won the crown. She also represented her country at Miss Heritage Global 2016/17 where she won a spot in the Top 15. Natasha also competed at Miss Universe Zambia 2019 but remained unplaced.

With her stunning beauty, her vast pageantry experience and a charming personality, Zambia will be a strong competition for the other delegates who will be arriving in India to compete for the crown.

Miss World 2023 will be the 71st edition of Miss World, which will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India on 9th March 2024. Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
