Miss Universe United Kingdom 2020, the 12th edition of Miss Universe United Kingdom, is all set to host its coronation on 11th July 2020. The crowned queen will represent United Kingdom in Miss Universe 2020 with the first and second runner ups representing the country in Miss International 2020 and Miss Supranational 2020 respectively.
Sophie Moulds from Wales is confirmed as the official representative of Mid Glamorgan for Miss Universe United Kingdom 2020. Hailing from Ferndale, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Sophie is 27 years old and stands a whopping 179 cm tall.
Being a TV host, Moulds in 2016 presented a TV show on a local TV channel named Made in Cardiff. She is a professional model and has posed for various A-listed photographers and magazines. Sophie is not new to pageantry as she has 8 years of experience in this domain. Her career in the world of beauty pageants began when she was just 19-years-old.
She participated in Miss Wales 2012 and was crowned as the winner at the end of the event. She then represented Wales at the stage of Miss World 2012 where she was crowned as the first runner up. After almost 8 years of the pageant, Sophie is back on her feet and will vie for the crown of Miss Universe United Kingdom 2020.
Apart from being a model, Sophie is also a businesswoman. She has an online store named Sophie Elizabeth London. Established in 2016, the store deals with mobile cases and accessories. Ever since she participated in Miss World 2012, Sophie dreamt of being an independent businesswoman as she is now. She has also been a judge in several beauty pageants which includes the prestigious Miss Ireland 2017.
Sophie is a strong and independent woman and her journey is similar to that of Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray. In 2016, Catriona Gray competed in Miss World 2016 but unfortunately wasn't crowned. Nevertheless, Gray successfully managed to take space in the top 5 contestants. Later in 2018, this Filipina beauty marked a victory at the stage of Miss Universe and took home the prestigious crown of Miss Universe 2018.
