All about Miss International Queen 2023 Solange Dekker of the Netherlands

Solange Dekker of the Netherlands was crowned Miss International Queen 2023 on Saturday, 24th June 2023 at the Tiffany's Show Theater in Pattaya, Thailand making history as she became the first ever European to win the international crown.

Solange Dekker is 27 years of age and hails from Amsterdam. She bested over 20 other competitors to win the coveted title. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss International Queen 2022 Fuchsia Anne Ravena from the Philippines.

Not a stranger to pageantry, Solange started her pageant career when she participated in Miss Trans Star International 2019 in Spain. In 2022, she became a finalist at the Miss Nederland (Miss Universe Netherlands) pageant where she was awarded the Miss Social Media award.

On winning the crown, Solange expressed, “The message that I want to show to everyone is that you never need to stop believing in yourself. You always, always, always need to fully, fully believe in yourself in order to achieve everything that you want. You are the hero in your own story. You wake up every day, you see yourself in the mirror, and you have to believe that whatever you are doing is right.”

At the finale, Top 6 finalists included Mexico’s Ivanna Cazares, Philippines’ Lars Pacheco, and Thailand’s Arissara Kankla while Top 11 semifinalists also included China’s Mika, Colombia’s Ange La Furcia, Spain’s Victoria Fernandes, Venezuela’s Miranda Monasterios, and Vietnam’s Nguyen Ha Diu Thao. Qatrisha Zairyah Kamsir of Singapore and Melony international Munro of the USA were adjudged as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
