It was a dream come true for Andrea Isabel Toscano Ramírez when she was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2018. The 20-year-old is now the official representative of Mexico in Miss Universe this year and the powerhouse that she is, won’t be stopping until she has the crown on her head.

It was during the grand finale of Mexicana Universal 2018, held on 3rd June 2018, that Andrea was crowned the winner and she was bound to win because her beauty is truly awe-inspiring. Her facial structure is perfect and her fierce eyes and pouty lips compliment her even more. Andrea was crowned by Mexicana Universal 2017 Denisse Iridane Franco Piña.

Andrea is the from the state of Colima and is the first woman from that particular state to have the title. Andrea, who stands tall at a height of 175 cm, was also one of the youngest contestants during the national competition, which makes her win all the more special.

If one is able to look past her beauty, they will realise that Andrea is a scholar as well. She is currently studying Nutrition at Colimaas University with academic excellence and is also involved in a Neuro-linguistic programming course. She is the definition of beauty with brains.

In a very short span of Andrea’s lifetime, she has done wonders for her community and other people in need. Starting out with taking care of her younger siblings at the age of 13 years, she created a cheerleading team at the age of 15 and became an entrepreneur. The sole purpose of the team was to promote sports in her city.

Andrea became financially independent when she was 17 years of age and started a nutrition project for inter-state migrant children so that they receive give nutritional education. Her initiative will result in the improvement of their health and quality of life. As the winner of Mexicana Universal, she is now aiming to make her project, "Nourish a child, feed Mexico", bigger and better and is developing an application to help guide children.

Her conviction and advocacy is the reason she is one of Angelopedia’s Top 20 favourite delegates for Miss Universe this year. Andrea will surely climb at the top of the finale and take the crown home for her nation.
